His first solo CD since the critically acclaimed and well-loved “Smile When You’re Ready”, Freetown is an eclectic mix of original tunes that shows us the many influences in Jeremiah’s work. In a recent review by Art Edelstein, he notes that Jeremiah is a “talented player who can navigate a varity of musical styles…Freetown is an album with a lot of patois.” It includes a straightforward Quebecois reel (with foot percussion from Andre Marchand), the jazzy big-band sound of the original tune “June”, and much more. Too many artists to list join Jeremiah on this CD.
